My jeweler bravely tried to save my gaudy, vintage Jordache watch (circa 1988) despite my slight, obvious discomfort at being surrounded by beautiful samples Cartier and Audemars Piguet worth more than my student loan. But he treated my childhood treasure as if it were priceless. I won't ever forget that. I do have real jewelry I need to fix and some new pieces in mind to purchase, so I know where to go now when I want an experience and professional interaction.
