Terrible experience, the worst ordeal I've ever had dealing with a shipping company. I had two separate packages from two different companies coming to me in the same week. For the first package, I was not home so the delivery person left a notice on my door, as expected. It stated that I could come to the pickup office to get my package any time after 5:45pm that day. I changed some plans around so that I could get to the office before it closed. I made my way over to the pickup office, which is quite a pain to get to, around 6pm, only to have the person working tell me that there was a driver error and the package wouldn't be available until Monday. She offered no reason as to what happened, and when I asked if I could get it the following day (Saturday) she said I couldn't and didn't give any explanation why. I was extremely frustrated as the notice told me to go there after 5:45, so I wasted a trip and had to wait until Monday to get my package. Monday came around, and the package STILL was not delivered to my house, the online tracking just said "Delayed due to Missed delivery"... I finally got my package on Tuesday after trying and waiting more than I cared to. Completely unacceptable.
As if this wasn't bad enough, my second package has taken days to be delivered, and I have yet to receive it. The package has been in the city for three days now but there is yet to be an attempt at delivery to my home. For the last two days the tracking information has said "Delayed due to Missed delivery".. How can you fail to deliver my package TWO days in a row? If you run out of time to deliver it to me on the first day, that's fair, but my package should be first on the priority list to get out on the second day. Failing to even get out to my location for a second straight day is completely unacceptable, especially in a city as small as mine. It's now the third day since my package has arrived in the city and I'm still waiting, not holding my breath to get the package by the end of day.
This is frustrating because you are supposed to be a leader in the shipping industry. Every other company I deal with - UPS, DHL, Fedex - are always efficient, timely, and rarely make mistakes. Step your game up, Purolator, your customer service definitely leaves something to be desired.
