The on-call ginecologist (7 months pregnant) said the reason of my fever (105 F) was dehydration. He prescribed a Tylenol 500 mg and let me go home. Eight hours later, I had a febrile shock. I wasn't able to breath, nor to talk. My mouth was purple and cold. My body was shaking and I wasn't able to control it. I lived alone at that time. By casualty, a colleague and her sister were visiting me. They called the ambulance and they took me to the Reinassance. There they diagnosed me with a UTI that caused a kidney's infection which spread to my heart and my lungs. I spent eight more days in their hospital. If the gynecologist at Knapp wouldn't had misdiagnosed me and my baby wouldn't have been in such a great risk. Horrible experience!
