Ripped off. During high demand events, they participate in collusion with other hotels to rip off customers with not refundable, non changeable reservations. They try to create the impression that if you don't book now, the city will be sold out. But that never happens. We prepaid for 7 rooms, but used only 5 rooms. We didn't mind paying 3-4 x the normal rate, but they refused to accommodate reasonable requests. They coerced one in our party into buying another non-refundable room by saying the the group reservation did not exist. Then they refused to make it right. They refused numerous upgrade requests even though, at the time, suites were still available. One in our party left to get a suite in another hotel. Staff was nice, but the chain management ripped us off. FYI, this is a REMINGTON owned hotel. As to the hotel, it was a bit run down and in need of remodeling. And it is in Foggy Bottom/GWU area, not really Georgetown.
