The Thayer Hotel is clearly a historic location. As a wedding attendee at the Thayer Hotel, I thought the furnishings were rich in history and the service was decent. If you ever find yourself in West Point, this may be the nicest hotel near the base. Although it does not provide any modern amenities (at least at a normal price point), the hotel provides you with the basic necessities. What you will really enjoy the most, however, are the real and unique historical artifacts that decorate each room. Be sure to stop, and take it them in.
