At first when I took all of my belongings and move...

At first when I took all of my belongings and moved up north to New York from Florida for work I really did not take a liking to it. I would have to move all the way up there with my mother, who has had problems doing daily tasks for about 5 years, to a place where I would have to experience 4 seasons. I have barely seen snow!!! I really thought southern hospitality was something in the past because I have heard of New Yorkers being very in your face and rude etc, but when I first spoke on the phone with Biju there was something different that I felt. She was very kind and compassionate (which is a good reflection of the company), she listened and understood what I was going through. My ingrained beliefs and stereotypes were not coming true. The homecare agencies in New York I had spoken to on the phone, which I am not going at this time, were pushing things down my throat and not asking the right questions. They would go off on a tangent, and it was as if they were robots on sales calls, strictly working to get a client without taking the necessary time to forge a friendship and a partnership because at the end of the day they would be the ones taking care of my world who is my mother and I would not want someone watching my mom if I did not trust/believe/like them. I came to the conclusion that if the spokespeople/administrators of the company are not nice then that is a reflection of a company that I would not like to do business with. While speaking to several of them it was apparent that they really did not care about the problems my family was having. Once Biju set me up with the necessary aides I have not looked back. The aides have been nothing less than a blessing for me. We all talk together, laugh together and best of all my mother truly enjoys their presence. I know that I can leave for work without a care in the world because I have an aide who is really looking out for the well-being of my mother. The aides have taken a burden off of my shoulders that I am very thankful for. At the end of the day, I really believed that southern hospitality was not going to be a thing in the north, but Sunshine has shown me that my previous beliefs are not true and that southern hospitality can be extended all the way up in New York through a home health care agency called Sunshine Homecare. To everyone looking for an all around great home care company, look no further because they are the best. :)
