I was disappointed with the service and food of Go...

I was disappointed with the service and food of Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse. I attended my friends' wedding reception here. They booked a private room (with minimum charge) and previously decided on the menu. While the party got smaller, they upgraded the menu, but such information was never communicated between the booking department and the restaurant, and that's where the disappointment started.

We were told they didn't have enough food for the upgraded menu (for sake, our party only has 20 people!), so they suggested to change back to the original cheaper menu, with absolutely no compensation in any kind (the original menu would not meet the minimum charge for the private room)! The poor bride and groom discussed on the solution with all the guests seated and not really knew what was happening. Finally, an agreement was reached, and you thought it was fine? Wrong! The restaurant unilaterally changed the menu further as they did not have enough lobster tails (seriously? Again, we are only a group of 20). They just served the food and not advising anyone. The bride, by that time, was already too upset. I told her not letting anything ruining their special day, and we will just share our experience after.

Beside the service, the food was not up to my expectations as well. The main course was Beef Wellington, one of their signature dishes. The steak was pretty tasteless (no beef taste), and the duxelles was too salty. I am not picky on my food, but I do have slightly higher expectations from a steakhouse by Gordon Ramsay.

You may have different (hopefully better) experience for just a normal dinner, but don't have your important party there, and I definitely won't order Beef Wellington there also.
