We visited when all the london kids started school , sept 5. It was still busy but our kids enjoyed every ride & were glad they didn t have to wait very long in the queues. When we read the reviews for chessington, they were not good. We were quite surprised & shocked because they were not at all true compared to our experience. The toilet queues were not as long or as dirty as previous reviews, the pizza buffet was fine. The only issue i had was in the restaurant, when we went to use the bathrooms after we ate, no patrons washed their hands, gross, the patrons would then go to the buffet line, but this was out of chessingtons control. However, i would definitely recommend chessington management implement a hand sanitizing station before the food & drink queues, to keep everyone s hands germ free, and the serving ladles. So this is not disneyland & do not expect the same quality or expectations from a multi million dollar company. The park/zoo is quite large & we found it took a lot longer to walk to each ride , more so than waiting for a ride. Parking we did not experience any pot holes & we arrived at 930 am. Leavimg the park was a breeze at 2 30 p.m, recommend prepaying for parking & entry tickets & the buffet, collecting at the ticket booth on arrival. Thank you chessington for the hospitality!
