Medium sized hotel within a huge hotel complex (Madinat Makadi)
The standard double room met our expectations
With good will, on our arrival, the hotel wanted to upgrade us to a junior suite but the air conditioning was defective and it is impossible to spend the night without air conditioning in Egypt (and in August) so we head to a pleasantly located standard double room near the secondary (quiet) hotel swimming pool.
The cleanliness is correct, but on the finishing side, a lot of things need to be reviewed, the reliability of the sanitary facilities, the quality of the joints, the taps, the water pressure, the inexistence of a cold water network in our room.
The bedding was average in our room, and the mattress of another age.

On the beach side, it is located 10 minutes walk from the center of the hotel, and is well signposted (it is possible to cut by a shortcut)
It is a sandy beach then in water successively a mixture of sand / coral / pebbles then fine sand. There are a lot of fish to observe while snorkeling.
It is pleasant, large because it is common to several Jaz hotels and clean.

The food in the hotel's two restaurants is nothing exceptional and often boils down to an international buffet alternating with oriental, Italian, ...
Ditto for the lunchbox, an excursion forced us to order a lunchbox which consisted of: two small dry sandwiches, a carton of fruit juice, a cucumber and a raw tomato, two raw fruits ...
I would definitely not recommend this hotel to those who have "meal" as their primary criteria.

On the personal side, the servers were attentive to all the details during the meals and available. Ditto for the staff at reception who were available and responsive to the slightest problem. On the positive side, one (only) receptionist is French speaking which is appreciable, the rest of the staff speak German or English.

The entertainment in the hotel was varied but usually started quite late (9:30 pm) and the place lacks seating.

We still have a good general feeling of the stay but we will surely head in the future to a hotel or a club with one more star in Egypt.
