The Good: The rooms were clean, and spacious enough to spread out. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurant was decent. Executive lounge had a decent breakfast and lots of room. There are also nut and candy dispensers (nice little treat).

The Bad: The rooms are badly in need of maintenance or renovation, especially the showers/drains. The water valve didn't seem to have proper temperature control and drained very slowly. The second room was worse than the first in that regard.

The Ugly: Did you catch that I wrote "rooms"? I had to switch rooms. The staff was very understanding and helpful and for that reason, I added a star back in. Both the rooms had a warped upper corner, and were undersized for the door jamb. This allowed a great deal of light to bleed into the room. The first room was really bad, but the second room was okay after some creativeness on my part to block the light. Both rooms really lacked adequate sounds dampening. I could here the guests in the next room in both the rooms I stayed in. After moving to the second room, I was awoken at 1:30 am by very loud guests outside my room. I've never been woken up by adult guests in a hotel before. Not the hotel's fault though, but proper door size and sound proofing would have helped. They are currently upgrading the locks to use proximity cards, which is good, but they probably should have put that money into fixing the issues I mentioned. Also, the parking is expensive with valet parking being $12 more. I would recommend not driving if you can avoid it. All in all, it was a disappointing stay, saved only by the staff's helpfulness and desire to resolve the issues as best they could. However, my sleep--the thing I need the hotel to be the best at--wasn't very good. Before staying here again, I'll ask if the issues mentioned above have been resolved.
