After a booking snafu at another hotel, I ended up booking the Westin Paris last minute by using Priceline's name-your-price feature.
They were able to accommodate us in a king bedded room with a balcony facing the Rue De La Castiglione and were able to see the Tuileries gardens.
Though the room was very small and the floor was terribly uneven, I would say this is typical of any room in Paris especially in such an old building. The furnishings were lovely and modern and the room had very high ceilings and terrific chandelier.
The bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel and the water pressure and temperature was good.
We couldn't get the central air unit to work in our room and it got a little chilly at night, but we were there at the season that it wasn't too cold.
The last night that we were there our TV went out and they couldn't figure out why. We were all packed up and ready to leave and just looking forward to relaxing in front of the television. They offered to move us to a different room but again it wasn't worth the hassle. We suspect it wasn't just us because the next morning there were men removing sections of the ceiling and messing around with some wiring.
Internet was at a premium. 19 per day or 8 per hour. We opted just to use free wi-fi while out and about when we could and an hour at a time when absolutely necessary.
