On the outset of this review it must be distinguished that Space Center Houston is a tourist attraction meant for the public's enlightenment and entertainment. It is a visitor center actually separate from the NASA Johnson Space Center. Tours of the JSC facility from Space Center Houston are available, but the tours are of course guided.
JSC has contributed to some of the greatest achievements mankind has ever produced - the Apollo moon landings, Hubble Telescope, the Space Shuttle, and the International Space Station to name some highlights. On the horizon are the James Webb Space Telescope and continued Mars missions. When one looks at the pace at which NASA achieved greatness and conquered obstacles in the 1960-70's one can't help but feel that NASA has almost unlimited potential. The men and women at JSC exemplify determination, wonder, creativity, and success.
