This is a beautiful hotel. You walk into a glassed front 20 story atrium. It's lovely but a bit warm due to the design. We checked with no issues, they warned us there was construction 9-5, 7 days a week. We got to the 12th floor and the drilling was ridiculously loud! We couldn't even speak to each other. Called down and they were able to move us to the 17th floor in a different corner and we could only just barely hear the drilling, didn't even effect sleeping. The suite had a great, heavy wood door that separated the bedroom from the rest of the suite. It was wonderful, blocked out any noises from people in the hallways and my companion could get up early, watch tv, shower, etc. without bothering me sleeping in.
The walkway to the convention center was very convenient. The pool area is very small and there's no hot tub, our only real disappointment. The bar / restaurant was very nice, good service, great food but the menu is very limited and a bit pricey.
Best part of all... the doors to the rooms. Usually, the loud slamming of doors in the morning and late night at a hotel is very disturbing to me. These doors could not be slammed and they clicked shut so quietly, I loved it! Overall, a great place if you're not close to the construction and we would absolutely stay there again.
