This is the first negative review I've ever writte...

This is the first negative review I've ever written about a medical practice. However, it is completely justified. I've never seen more horrible customer service by a medical staff in my 40+ years. Others have posted about long wait times. That is very true. However, that alone wouldn't prompt me to write a negative review. A lot of doctors offices make you wait. What is terrible about this practice is the lack of responsiveness to patient requests and the lack of follow through by Dr. Gerrish and his nurse (Sam Cramer). I've called 5 times in 3 weeks because Dr. Gerrish was supposed to order a test for me at Tampa General. Because TG hasn't contacted me, I've been calling Dr. G to remind him to order this test. I specifically requested that he or his nurse call me back 5 times!! Every time I call, the receptionist takes a message and says they will call me back. They have yet to call, and we are 3 weeks after my initial call. The last 2 times I called, I was very explicit with my disgust at their lack of follow through. I was respectful, but direct. I am a finance professional with a highly reputable company, and if I ever treated a customer half as bad as they have treated me, I would have been fired. This is a disgusting organization and I encourage any reader to not give them a chance. I will be looking for a new Gastroenterelogist tomorrow. Please reply with suggestions in the South Tampa area.
