I had a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning. We recently played in a 10u tournament and had an awful experience. We came down from RI expecting to play in a great competitive tourney. I have to say that the competition was great but it was the rules, league setup and communication that i have the issue with. Typically at the 10u level the field dimensions are 46 mound and 60ft base paths but the baseball heaven field is 46 and 65. Also typically at the 10u level they do not call balks they do not allow leading and they do not allow dropped 3rd strikes. It wasn't until the morning of the tournament that we found out that this is not the case. Needless to say we had a 1 hr crash course on throwing from the stertch, leading, etc which put us at a great disadvantage from the beginning. I would not have had an issue with this if I had known about this 3 months ago but they bury this info 15 pages down in the rules. This should be the first rule as the rest of New England does not play it this way. Secondly we played on a field in the complex that had a make shift fence with a 12inch gap at the bottom of it. I have never seen so many ground rule doubles. Overall the facility was in great shape. It was for the reason that I gave this place a 1 star. For the amount of money you spend to go to this tournament we should know the rules that differ from the rest of the northeast.

Thanks

Brad
