This was one place our group could agree we all wanted to visit while in Amsterdam.

We booked our tickets online at least a week before we were in Amsterdam since we didn't particularly want to wait outside for the chance to get in. We were glad we did because by the time we left the Museum there were large lines forming. I've heard you should book your tickets even longer than a week in advance, maybe even a month, but we visited in the off-season so there were plenty of tickets available just a week before.

The Anne Frank House is one of the places I've been to that borders on sacred. The mood upon entering is somber as you begin to think of what it is you're about to see and feel. I remember seeing a TV special on Anne Frank when I was younger and even though it was a long time ago I could still remember the feelings I had while thinking about what the Frank family and their friends went through, let alone innumerable other Jewish individuals and families around the world, as well as their friends and supporters. It makes me grateful for my freedoms and my life.

I did not enjoy the many seemingly impatient individuals that were hurriedly going through every room, nor did I enjoy a group of teenagers playing pranks on each other and joking around as they went through the exhibits. Unfortunate, really, but nothing against the Museum itself.
