My grandparents had taken us here when we were children. My great grandpa, Frank Fairweather, was a contractor that worked on the theater and my grandma was involved in the theater productions in her youth. Her brother recently moved back to the area. In any case, I haven't been back since I was a child. So glad I finally made it up here.

We saw The Odessey. Wow. I don't know really what there is to say. The play was amazing, great casting and performance. As for the theater itself. It was easy to get in and out of. Even with a full house, I didn't feel cramped in my seats, I was comfortable during intermission and it was quick to get a quick drink to enjoy during the second part of the show. The accoustics in the theater were great, I never missed a word. We rented pillows to sit on during the performance, but it was a warm night. Was nice to watch an ancient classic in an outdoor theater and I really liked the interpretation of the work. Ashland is soon to become a yearly tradition for us. If you haven't been, just do yourself a favor and go.
