Kazama DttS Review of The National Gallery

One of the best collections all over the world. Really impressed with what they have as permanent (I really love impressionism, and they have quite a few top ones). I miss more Spanish paintings, but even like that, they have some.
You probably gonna need more than one day to really enjoy the art there (overall, for let your mind assimilate all the beauty, all the context, the history behind...).
Better to spend a little on an audio guide. Or if you have the opportunity, even better to enjoy a guide tour with probably someone who not only knows what is talking about but also brings all the passion on what's doing. You can feel the difference and is quite a immersive and unforgettable experience.
Don't forget there's always temporal exhibitions you must not miss. In my last visit (every time I go to London I go to the National Gallery) it was a nice one about Degas.
Let yourself get lost on this labyrinth of fine art. Not going to regret!
