Stopped by here for the night driving home from backpacking in Rainier. The place was mediocre at best. Comparing this place to anything in Vegas would be unfair so I'll compare to Cactus Pete's in Jackpot, NV

Food first: I wasn't able to check out the buffet or the Plateau restaurant so I can't speak to those places. I did have a burger at the bar, and breakfast at the Hot Rock Cafe. The Burger was mediocre. Can't complain, can't compliment. The breakfast at the cafe in the morning was ridiculous. Food at Cactus Pete's is WAY better. Pricing was about as expected, but for the quality of food that you get, it was a bit too high in my opinion.

Service was completely unmentionable. Nothing outstanding, nothing terrible.

Gambling was fine. Low limits on all the tables: $3+ on craps and even a $2+ blackjack table. The had some higher stakes tables, but I saw nothing over a $25 minimum. Dealers were all courteous and competent.

I stayed in a tower room at $92 (including tax). Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Very nice rooms. I was a little disappointed that they refused to give me any kind of deal as a late in the evening walk in. They did however tell me to get a player's card before checking in and that got me 10% off the room.

One last thing to note: There is no alcohol outside of the bar. No free drinks at the table like in any Nevada casino. Has something to do with the reservation being dry. I really like the free booze so this was kinda a bummer for me. On the flip side, I was able to pay much closer attention at the blackjack table!

Overall - not a bad place to stop. Certainly not worth a drive of any length, but if you're passing through, give it a shot. Despite all the smoke and the older facilities, I'd choose Jackpot over this place any day.
