Tim Slentz Review of Honda of Tysons Corner
This was my first experience with Honda of Tysons ...
This was my first experience with Honda of Tysons Corner. My 2004 Accord had a recall on the air bags. Fairly easy to set up the appointment online. Also, they have a shuttle service, which, though I did not need it, is good if you need to drop off during your work hours.
However...big turnoff when they called to let me know my car was ready. I understand they are a business and want to make money, but my Service Advisor started listing off a litany of items they "recommended" be done. I felt like I was at Jiffy Lube listening to their sales pitch...Transmission fluid, steering fluid, water pump, belt package, etc., etc. When I questioned whether they checked these things to see if I really needed it, he responded with, "Well, we don't have your service history, so these are things we recommend you do." Ok...so you didn't even look at my car to see if these items were actually needed...just read them off to lure me in.
I have no issues if you want to converse with me about routine maintenance, but it did not come off this way at all...instead it was a classic push, push, push and see what you can get the customer to agree to. Don't like this tactic AT ALL.
