The waitress was phenomenal. She was extremely attentive to my gluten intolerance and even went so far as to ask the chefs to change their gloves before they made my sushi. Great attitude and great service.

The sushi however was subpar at best. Small portions and fairly expensive for the quality. I ordered 4 rolls. Two were salmon, one was yellowtail, and one was mackerel. Served warm for some reason which was a little concerning given the fact that it was raw fish. Salmon tasted reasonably fresh though a little bland. Had a bit of an odd oily taste to it. The yellowtail and the mackerel however were downright inedible. Low quality fish that was clearly on the verge of spoiling. I ate two pieces of salmon and one each of the yellowtail and the mackerel rolls before I decided I couldn't finish. It was truly awful.

I asked the waitress to remove 3 out of 4 rolls from my bill and I'd pay for the the roll I'd eaten. That's fair right? Well a manager comes out and while initially polite but curt, he states he can't remove the food from the bill. "I've served this to over 50 customers today and haven't had a complaint". I told him politely but firmly that I had no problem paying for what I had eaten, but I wouldn't be paying for all of it. He threatened to call the police on me, which I invited him to do. He eventually relented and said "I'll take the uneaten food off your bill, but only if you never come back".

I've honestly never encountered such unprofessional behavior from a manager at a restaurant. I will never return to this place again solely because of that manager.

If you're looking for good sushi look to Noble Fish in Troy, Blufin in Grosse Pointe, or Mango's in Dearborn. Much better sushi, much better pricing, and great friendly staff.
