I had cancelled my reservation and requested a refund of $342 due to Covid-19. 5 of the 9 ladies who were set to attend are registered nurses, including myself , currently working on the front lines at various hospitals in Ontario. As healthcare professionals we collectively made the conscious decision to postpone this affair until it is safe to congregate in groups again. We are not willing to put our friends at risk given that we are potential exposed to the virus on a daily basis. Currently we are set to receive $ 17.39. I had messaged the host ( Kashy Homes) and have received no response . It is absolutely appalling that in this time an automatic refund of 100% of the money put down is not provided . If this is the type of service that air bnb is going to provided to its customers . I want no part of this establishment . It s clear that money is the priority . Do I physically have to send a picture of our nursing badges to show you how severe this truly is . I am very disappointed in how air bnb has handled this pandemic . They cannot see or understand how this pandemic has effected guests you have hosted and what they may be going through during this difficult time. Disgusting .
