This hotel is a relatively new construction, with a very good location, in a few minutes drives from Piata Unirii practically, the center of the town. The personnel are friendly, helpful and polite. They all speak impeccable English. The hotel has a parking lot which is a considerable asset for a hotel in Bucharest. There are guest rooms and suites. I booked a guest room.
The room was small yet had a big closet. The furniture was adequate and the bed comfortable. The shower was rather unusual. Instead of swinging doors or a bath with shower curtain, had two swinging doors meeting at a right angle. The space left when you closed the doors was not bigger than a sarcophagus so if you are claustrophobic you may want to keep on checking down the hotels list.
I don t know if this is specific for Romania or for these parts of the world, but you have to pay in advance for potential restaurant or room charges. They would refund you the charge if you did not consume anything but it is like you being assumed that you could skip the bill. For a Hilton guest I found it quite demeaning.
However, my biggest gripe was a thermostat with a temperature etched in stone. You could choose any temperature you want as long as it was 70 F (21.3 C). If you did not like it you could open the window (only about three inches) and the A/C would stop: but then after awhile it would get stuffy. I checked with front desk and they confirmed me that this is how the system worked.
