We stayed a couple nights so we could be close to the Beehives and Moraine Lake parking lots (instead of driving in from Calgary).

This campground is fairly basic but it s got all you need. Our campsite could have been a little cleaner, with some garbage in the fire pit that other parks staff would typically clear out. The bathrooms have running water but are small and make it difficult to physically distance; showers were closed due to COVID concerns (we assumed) but that s not too disappointing to us.

The campground is pretty quiet for a car campground although there are regular trains going through the valley. We didn t mind this and started to block it out shortly after we arrived.

There are some little trails nearby but, like mentioned above, we were after the Lake Louise and Moraine Lake trails anyway so we didn t make much use of these (if you re staying to hit those lake trails an early start is crucial, by the way!).
