The Virginia Aquarium is a very nice local aquarium. Several years ago it went through a renovation that brought several improvements. There are some really great interactive exhibits where visitors can learn about our unique watershed and the chesapeake bay. During normal times they have special themed nights with mermaids and children's books. You can join and become an annual member and bring guests with you. I love the otter exhibit and it's very close to, and affiliated with, the Adventure Park which, for anyone adventurous, it's well worth the time.
