The band seemed great (but I couldn't be sure--read on). The beer was, ah...okay but overpriced. The sound? I mean, what the so-called "sound man" did with his mixing board and amplifiers and such? Just bloody awful. The bass was SO loud it hurt my rib cage, made me nauseous. It was SO loud you couldn't hear much past the bass, some screaming lead vocals, and lead guitar. We were looking right at the sax and keyboard players and it was as if they weren't playing at all--or maybe the distorted HASH that was the sound was exactly what all those fine instruments sound like when you turn up the volume SO far everything blends into an industrial roar not unlike a freight train roaring just inches past your head, it's horn blasting. It didn't so much resemble music as aural torture. A regrettable waste of $46 and an otherwise perfectly good evening. One last thing: They don't deserve the single star I gave them. Sadly, if I did not give them this one star, I could not have posted this diatribe.
