Stanley Park Review of Renaissance Hotel Seattle
This place has change so much since I first stayed...
This place has change so much since I first stayed here that it is nothing short of sad. The lounge for the Marriott Members used to have free bottled soda and a Starbucks machine. That you could get a free latte or cup of coffee or essentially any basic Starbucks coffee. The last time I stayed there they had cleaned out the cooler where the soda was being kept and the Starbucks machine was out of order. The one plus about their over priced parking is unlimited in and out privileges. Would advise not to get a room facing the I5 since that is just constant 24 hour noise. Due to being a Marriott Member have never had to pay for Wi Fi but seriously any hotel that is still charging for this service is just scaring away possible customers. They fail to realize the more you are able to keep your customers in their location the more the possibility they will spend more time and money there. Since people these days are addicted to their cell phones and the internet. But hey live and learn. For those that don't know downtown Seattle (downtown towards the water front) is slightly hilly and this hotel is located at the top so you will be walking down to the tourist spots and walking back up to get back to your room.
My advice a high floor facing towards the water front or away from the I5.
The hotel was generally pretty clean and used to be popular with the Japanese tourist, since back in the day they used to have a Japanese tv channel. But once again no longer.
