Most of the reviews you will hear will be from oblivious alumni and picked favorites of the administration. Let me tell you-- as someone who worked closely with the administration through the student government and student councils, this college is terrible. Compared to my colleagues who attended universities who actually kept up with the times and growing university costs, RIT is only interested in growing profits and Munson is the incarnation of that reality. The board of trustees is composed of favored corporate personal from the rochester area. It was bizarrre to me that they just recently hired people to address the terrible housing issues and a leader to address deaf issues (first deaf board of trustees member despite being one of the largest deaf colleges in the country). I only just recently realized it was to promote their own self image of progressivism and liberalism. This college is not at all progressive. In fact, every minority student is used as a statistic to benefit their private status and increase tuition EVERY YEAR. If you have the option to attend a state or public school, its a much better option.
