Home of the All-Star Race, the Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America 500 NASCAR Cup Races. CMS is Bruton Smith's premier super raceway and was opened the following year after Daytona. Charlotte Motor Speedway is the first lighted raceway, built the first "World's Largest TV" screen and is open year-round. Activities include daily tours, racing schools, the Largest Auto Show, Christmas Light Show with miles of synchronized music and lights, infield family activities and much more. The Dirt Track at CMS is across the street and hosts the World of Outlaws finals, Motocross racing, Monster Trucks and is next door to the famous 4-Lane z-Max Dragstrip. Charlotte, Concord and Mooresville are home to NASCAR driver's speed shops and the NASCAR Hall of Fame is located uptown Charlotte. Bruton Smith and Bill France Sr, best friends, made NASCAR a national family spectator sport. The France Family, owners of NASCAR, located the National headquarters in Daytona Beach, Fla. NASCAR supports more than 20,000 jobs in North Carolina alone.
