A great place for the family to spend a day learning about, and interacting with, species of all kinds. Spend a few extra bucks to feed the giraffes, and your kidlet might just wear a smile like mine!
Arrive prepared! The whole zoo appears to be on an old ski resort, so you're constantly climbing or descending hills - comfortable walking shoes are a must. There's a shuttle available for an extra fee for those in need. The sky ride (I think that's what it was called) is essentially one of the old ski lifts, and will certainly help move you and yours to the top of the hill, then you could walk down the while way through the zoo. This too is available for an extra few dollars.
There's food available on property, it's reasonably priced and there's a lot of options too! I chose to have a bowl of ramen, which was just what the doctor ordered as we visited on a chilly weekend in February.
All in all, a great place to visit!
