Our family couldn't wait to get here, as the reviews sounded great!
We arrived at 12:00 the parking was pretty easy, as they had personnel directing cars onto grassy areas.
Upon entering, there was a young girl at the entrance, determined that we check -in at the window and pay
immediately and get hand stamp....(really rude).
The place was packed......We headed over to the line for the train, which takes you around the orchards, where you can get off and on at different locations...They don't tell you where they stop, so we ended up walking back to the entrance area...(line for train 20/25 minutes).
We went into the store/barn area, to purchase some cider doughnuts, candy, etc....It was so crowded in there you couldn't move...We put doughnuts in bag, went to pay, and the line was at least 40 deep.
However, there was another register on the other side of room..We asked an employee if they would open that one as well....Their response: Not today..WHAT? One register and we could hear people saying the same thing, as they put purchases down and walked out...As we did.
Absolutely ludicrous..Employees not nice.
We decided to go down the road to their tavern, try their apple cider..We needed it! It was a very hot day, and we walked all around the orchards, fought the crowds in store...We were ready!
The cider was very good..However the food is a TOTAL ripoff...No doubt...We ordered the pizza. it was a flat THIN pizza that was NO bigger than a slice...$10.00.....Ludicrous...Chicken tenders-looked and tasted like Perdue frozen..OMG horrible...(about 3) 10.00......Don't order food.
As we were leaving about 2:00, cars were still lined up to get in!
What a ripoff...Don't waste your time...
Ovwerpriced....rude employees...no service....terrible food....Actually have to wait in another line to pay for the apples that you picked..
Couldn't wait to get outta there! Wish i had stocks in this place....-( Ripoff
