Gerard Callahan Review of Norman Parathyroid Center

I want to be very encouraging to those readers who may have had many failed surgeries in the past for hyperparathyroidism. I had four failed surgeries over a thirty-year time span. Just about everything that could go wrong did such as thyroid removal, bi-lateral vocal cord paralysis, long exploratory surgeries, loss of voice for 9 months after my third surgery, restricted airway, three venous samplings and one arteriogram, MRIs, CT scans, countless sestamibi scans, well I think you get the picture. In 2004 I was told that all surgical options had been explored, and the only avenue available was to use the newly developed drug Sensipar. For the next fourteen years, I took 120 mg of this medication until I found the Norman Parathyroid Center. Dr. Politz and the team at NPC gave me hope for a cure for the first time in many years. On October 17, 2018, Dr. Politz was able to do what no other surgeon was able to do and remove my last ectopic parathyroid adenoma! If you are like me, you already know that with each surgery the chances for a cure diminish significantly. Having said that, I want to encourage you to have the Norman Parathyroid Center review your situation because you will be giving yourself the best possible chance to finally be cured.
