TLDR: AVOID! Terible customer service! They're charging $426.74 for refusing delivery of a shipment they shouldn't have made.

The customer service provided by Jessica, the Sales Team Lead & training supervisor has been terrible. This is the first time I've felt animosity from a customer service representative.

Here is the story.

I place my order on December 9th. From their website I see that shipping takes three days. "Great!" I say to myself, "I'll get the desk by Friday before I leave on my Holiday Vacation on the 18th".

Next, I got an email titled "RESPONSE REQUIRED". "Dang", I thought, "I'm not sure I'll get this by Friday. Maybe I should just cancel? No, it'll be fine, the email says response required. So, I have time to decide."

The email contained many questions that would made unsure if I'd be able to handle the delivery. So, I asked "I live in a residential apartment and ordered one desk. Is all of this necessary?" I never confirmed that the shipping method was accurate. Yet, they shipped the desk anyways on December 11th.

Then, I received a call on Monday, December 16th, two days before my flight about delivery. I could not take delivery as that would require my taking of work, the day before I leave which was not possible. So, I refused shipment.

I communicated this to Jessica, the sales team lead. Throughout my interaction with her, I felt like there was some animosity towards me and she was overwhelmingly aggressive. For example in our customer service exchange (email photo attached) she said, "The cost for refusing your shipment will be $426.74. Cheers," That 'Cheers' is very passive aggressive.

This is all unfortunate because the desk shouldn't have shipped in the first place because I was told, through email, "We are unable to process and ship your order until you reply to this email and confirm that the shipping method is accurate." I never confirmed that the shipping method was accurate. The desk should have never shipped. And I should not be charged 75% the cost of a standing desk for a delivery I could not make, for a shipment, that shouldn't have shipped.
