I would rate Vivint 4.5 stars on the service I have with them. The setup was done with adequate explanation of how to use the equipment. Responses to our the emergencies have been prompt over the last 4 years. Questions about the few times we did not understand something were answered. I was pleased last week to see that a "tornado warning" was on our Vivint monitor when we returned from out of town a few hours after a tornado had hit in our county about 8 miles from our house.
I look forward to the time when they can do two things: provide outdoor video surveillance that ties into the Vivint system (we have had 2 bicycles and 1 lawnmower stolen in the last few years). Also, the remote house temperature control does not work with our particular combination gas heater/ electric AC so I do not get to use that feature. I have asked they come up with a solution for that.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the service provided with the equipment we are using. I would want the cost to be more competitive, but I feel secure in what they do.
