My daughter was self admitted, we were both going through a rough time, they were also concerned about me, and asked me if i would like help, I declined but appreciated the fact that they realize when a parent takes a child to a place like Tanner, its not something a parent ever dreams of having to do, I thought it was great that they also realized the whole thing was hard on me too.

She ended up staying a few days, and after school therapy, I think it was great for her, she met a lot of kids with emotional problems, and they respected the fact that i did not want her put on medication, they do listen to the parents, and they work with the parents and kids to make the family healthy again, i can't say things are perfect now, but she has her coping skills and i have learned a lot too, things are a LOT better.... they took great care of her when she was there and i got a chance to visit, if a child is ever a danger to herself or others this place has wonderful doctors and compassionate staff that really help.
