Roddy Mitchell was a long time friend of my mothers for over 10 years......so we thought. In 2012 my mother reached out to build a meridian custom home for herself following a severe stroke which left her significantly debilitated at the time. Because Roddy had been a long time friend she trusted him as the guardian of this very significant and financially consequential investment. Now in 2020 having hired her own inspector to assess the house in order to sell and relocate we are absolutely disgusted and shocked. She is now burdened with an estimated $30,000 in repairs to correct faulty siding that was improperly installed throughout the entire house. The inspectors own words were the house is unsellable like this . Despite COUNTLESS attempts to contact Meridian, she has received not ONE response. This is also not the first time we ve experienced issues and heard zero response in return. We are extremely hurt and overwhelmed by the inspectors discovery of the overall shoddiness of this construction that she trusted her friend to oversee in a very trying time in her life. My mother and I feel very much taken advantage of and we fully intend to take legal actions as our efforts to negotiate a settlement have literally been COMPLETELY IGNORED. We are angry and left incredulous and hope no one else falls victim to this kind of unprofessionalism that has caused untold stress and anxiety during a very difficult time.
