Clean, well established caravan spots with grass and shade. Plenty of activities at the lodge with decent pricing. The caretaker is friendly and accommodating. The ablutions are clean, spacious and well kept. Camping sites are not demarcated, and since we visited directly after Easter weekend, the camp was quite empty with a lot of space and privacy. There is some good gavel (short) traveling, suitable to any type of caravan. Power and water points are sufficient, although you do notice a dip in power when using high wattage equipment like kettles and hot plates. Look under the trees for signs of tree sap dripping before setting up your camp. There is a crocodile farm near by, with a safari vehicle taking you there and back. The trip to the crocodile farm includes a brief introduction about the farm itself, as well as some information about crocodiles. The guide is entertaining and mostly correct about the crocodiles. There is a chicken farm close by that I assume is being used to feed the crocodiles. The chicken farm can be a bit noisy in the early morning, but the sound fades away quickly with the singing of the local birds once the sun comes up. Close to Pretoria, this is a good family camping area that we will visit again.
