I am not really sure exactly what they do to help ...

I am not really sure exactly what they do to help people with housing. I AM a US NAVY Veteran and they were supposed to be helping me get back on my feet after a long move from my home state... I am still waiting for them to call me back and tell me they can help me. It's kind of disturbing how they told me they could help me with housing and then they strung me along for about 6 weeks and then came to me and said they weren't going to be able to help Vet's anymore. I called back a couple weeks later and they had completely removed me from the rehousing list.I really need some help with the deposits and first months rent and they claim they can do that...but that's been over a month ago and I am living in a motel with my fiance because we can't afford to pay for the weekly room AND save enough money for the deposits for everything and the first months rent too. I keep hoping and praying they will call with good news and the money to back what they claim they do to help people...but it sure isn't happening very fast. We found an apartment...we need deposit money and the first months rent so we can stand back on our feet...Im not looking for a handout... but for Christ's sake we definitely need a hand up. So I really don't know what they do! except give away food through their food bank because everything I was told they can do to help me, they haven't done. ~KK~
