We took our kiitty to Vrcc on Feb 3. He ultimately had to be euthanized due to complications from heart disease. The staff members at front desk were very nice and sympathetic as we very obviously very upset, however the vets showed no feelings of compassion at all, especially the first male vet we saw. He wanted to euthanize our cat immediately before he really knew what was wrong. We insisted on testing to find out exactly what was wrong, and as the vet left the left the room to arrange the testing he basically told us we were wasting our time- not very nice. A cardiologist then saw our kitty and did explain situation, showed a little more compassion but not a lot. I just hope we did the right thing because our lives have not been the same since. I am not sure we did do the right thing and have wondered ever since if we should taken him elsewhere. I don't think I could go to Vrcc again as we have since heard of cats surviving the episode Sammy had at a similar age.
