KK Review of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Oof. This magical gathering of animals.
Oof. This magical gathering of animals.
Having been to various national and international zoos, we can honestly say, resoundingly declare the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to be one of the utmost best.
It works around the environment, making what is already a wondrous experience truly spectacular with the views of mountains, from heights to observe the city and beyond. They offer numerous close encounters, including opportunities to feed the lovely creatures being cared for within. There are an ample amount of employees should anyone need assistance or have inquiries. Their symbolic adoption program is extensive, the gift shop attractive and well stocked. Upon buying a ticket, we were given three tokens each to then put towards a donation of our choosing (i.e. toads, vultures, orangutans, etc). Though we went during the day, it looked like their holiday light display would've been marvelous.
If we lived here, we would EASILY buy a membership. The educational aspect is just refreshing, assuring, and, frankly, moving. Of the things we partook in during our visit to Colorado Springs, this phenomenal place was a favorite. *Is* a favorite.
