Warm, friendly environment with a large variety of animals. There are areas where you may interact with the birds/animals as well, like the aviary. There is a children's area with things for them to climb on and goats for them to feed and pet. It is a bit hilly so strollers for the younger children is advised. Everything looks handicap accessible though some of the exhibits would be hard to view from a wheelchair. All of the volunteers and staff are super friendly and helpful. The shows are super informative and my family has learned alot with every visit. You also have beautiful views of the city from different parts of the zoo.

Boo at the Zoo, their special event for Halloween, was fantastic. They didn't have as many animals as I thought but there were plenty of stations for the children to get their treats. The kids all had tons of fun.
