I made an appointment after researching a problem I was having with the door latch on my Ford Flex saying the door was ajar when it was in fact latched. Since I have the Ford Care extended warranty, I thought this would be a painless experience and sent my wife to take care of it. They spent three hours of her time to try and weasel out of replacing the faulty door latch and attempted to sell her a door seal instead...a part not covered by the warranty. I called during their attempts at diagnosis and was blown off by their technician. The second time I called, I was given the runaround by the service manager. Fed up, I ordered the door latch myself online (for less than the $100 deductible it would have cost otherwise) and replaced it myself. Guess what? PROBLEM SOLVED. I ll never go to another Hillyers dealership again. Too many decent competitors in the mid-valley to be treated that way again.
