My husband, Matt, and I moved to Platt Park in May 2019 and fell in love with the neighborhood. We love the walkability, the neighborhood feel, and the close proximity to parks, restaurants, and bars. We realized shortly after our move to Platt Park that we wanted to put down roots in the neighborhood and reached out to Dan in late-October to start the house hunting process.

We easily connected with Dan and began to grow our buyer-seller turned friendship relationship at our first home viewing. The home was not for us. In fact, at the time, we didn t have a great idea of what we were even looking for. Dan was extremely patient with us and took the time to read both our verbal and non-verbal cues to get a better sense of what we were looking for. With some preliminary ideas in mind, he quickly put together a market tour for us in the neighborhood for us to get a better sense of homes available in the neighborhood. He even included my parents (who were visiting from out of town) in the tour and made them feel comfortable, welcome, and included. This market tour proved extremely helpful to us and gave us a much better sense not only of what we were looking for but also what we could realistically purchase within our budget.

After a brief lull over the holidays, we reconnected in the new year, optimistic about our prospects. Although Dan learned of and took us to see several potentially promising options, none quite fit what we were looking for. Dan remained patient, optimistic, and encouraging, never pushing us to do something we were uncomfortable with.

Then, in mid-March, Dan received a response to one of nearly seventy letters that he personally sent out to potential sellers in our neighborhood letting them know of our interest in a home like theirs. Dan acted on this information immediately and was able to get us in to see the home that afternoon - before the home even went on the market! We fell in love with the home right away and after six months of searching and over twenty home viewings, we knew that we had found the house we wanted to call our home. We connected with Dan multiple times shortly after our home visit, and, with his guidance, made an offer on our dream home. It was accepted that night, and we went under contract without the home ever going on the market! As we proceeded with the home-buying process, Dan was there every step of the way, to answer our many questions and to provide us with fair guidance that considered our best interests.

We feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to undertake the house hunting process with Dan. Dan is a professional, through and through. He is extremely knowledgeable about the greater Denver area and about the uniqueness of homes in the neighborhoods we considered. As first-time home buyers, he guided us through the process and took care to answer our many questions, doing further research as required. Expertise aside, his excellent communications and partners and connections in the area greatly enhanced our home buying experience.

Throughout our six months of house hunting together, we also came to see Dan not only as our real estate agent but as a mentor, confidant, and friend. Dan constantly demonstrated his interest not only our desired home requirements but also in our personal and professional lives, regularly asking us about our families, work, sports, etc. He provided us with support in moments of need (a gift card to a local brewery as we trudged through inspection in the midst of a global pandemic!) and celebrated in our joys of closing with a considerate gift basket that reflected our interests, hobbies, and passions that he had come to learn through our time working together.

Overall, we have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dan! In fact, we have already referred my parents to him as they begin their search for a home in the area. Any buyer or seller would be extremely lucky to have him on their team!
