Thank you to our veterans for their service. However, it would behoove Congress to allocate a generous pay increase for the fine doctors, nurses, and all others who work for the Veterans Administration. Upgrades are needed. Someone from Washington D.C. needs to try to sleep in these lumpy beds after surgery. If Congress cannot fund the VA, perhaps they can work for free, and our veterans can receive what they deserve. Unlike our federal government, service members and veterans show and showed up for work, giving their time, energy, and sometimes their lives. Remember Congress, we all have Cspan, and know when you're sleeping in, instead of doing the job you were hired to do, and more than generously compensated for.
