To appreciate how good Melvin and the other service team members are at Mercedes of Chicago, just go to another Mercedes dealer or even worst, another car manufacturer. When the team at Mercedes Benz of Chicago fix a problem I do not have to come back again for the same problem. My various settings are not changed when I pick up my repaired automobile. The car is not only cleaned when I leave but it is obvious that the service staff respected my car during the repairs.

Furthermore Melvin anticipates issues so that I do not have to react to problems that appear during an A or B service. I always have felt he is on my side and his car knowledge is second to none. That has been the case whether talking about my S63 or GLK 350. He gives me guidance and advice on car matters- clearly vital for this customer who doesn t know if a gas pressure strut is a part on my car or something I did during my professional athletic days and we had just won a championship.

The loaner department has protected me by always having a car for me and one that did not try and squeeze me in a tiny auto.

Back to Melvin for another moment. During Chicago s 2014-2015 pot hole problem, the worst in its history, I went through 2 rims(each cost $3,750) and 4 tires(each cost $500) in one year. Melvin went to bat for me with both Mercedes and the insurance companies. Despite initial denials to replace the parts, Melvin did not allow this and kept fighting for me until they were turned around and approved the replacements.

Having read my review of both Mercedes Benz of Chicago and Melvin, can you see any reason not to take your automobiles to them? And if you need another one, go see Jim Jordan. Unlike many car salesmen Jim will steer you right and always demonstrate that it can be done with the highest level of integrity and honesty.

And yes, my review is totally honest and no, I do not own Mercedes Benz of Chicago and am not related to either Melvin or Jim, let alone any employee of the company!
