Walmart service at Nordstroms prices. I had a series of terrible experiences at this clinic. I did however like the vet as a person. I forget her name, since I only spoke with her once, but she was very nice.
So I had a puppy being treated for demodex which involved medicated baths every week. First of all, I hardly ever saw the same person twice. Someone in the front would call someone in the back on a walkie talkie who came out and took my dog away without even saying hello. I only ever saw the vet once on the first visit. On that first visit I was charged for a skin scraping which they did not perform. They gave shots and charged for them after I had told three different people I did not want the shot given. One person would tell you one thing and when you acted on that information they would act like you were the one that was stupid. I never knew who bathed my dog or how it went. I was never asked if I had any questions. I was never told what the next steps were or what to expect. I used this clinic from September through December. I HATED them after the second visit but I kept thinking, well, he's almost better I should just ride it out.
My husband thought I complained a lot but then he had the exact same experience. There is too many office staff to know what is going on, they all tell you something different, overcharge and charge for services they don't perform. They also quoted me nearly $600 to neuter a male dog! Even Banfield which is known to be insanely overpriced is $350.
Contrast with New Hope Animal Hospital, the vet I eventually switched to. Everyone in the office is lovely and introduces themselves. They took extra time with my dog since he is now traumatized by going to the vet. The same lady washed him each time. She came out to get him, she brought him out to me, and she would call me in the middle of the day to let me know how the bath went and how he was doing in the office. They also pluck hairs instead of scraping so my dog doesn't have giant scabs on his face. They also switched him to the ivermectin treatment once he was tested for a faulty gene since they said the baths don't work well. After spending $1500 at Triangle on baths that were not working, his demodex was cleared up in a month with a $20 bottle of ivermectin.
