Michael Wang Review of PFIZER CORPORATION

In the midst of all these reviews towards the company itself, I'll actually write about the location itself. Pfizer occupies 235 and 219 E 42nd Street. If you're hovering around Midtown East, you can't miss the building because there are huge and numerous Pfizer banners all around. As far as the building itself, it is pretty old, being that it was built decades ago, but still does the tricks. Cubicles can seem a little dated, but the conference rooms aren't bad at all. For big meetings like quarterly reviews and such, there is a huge conference/auditorium area downstairs. Just be mindful that the reception down there is pretty bad, so don't expect to be making any calls.
For employees, all you need is your nifty badge, and you can get through the security doors. For guests, enter and make a left, and you'll find the visitor check-in area. All you have to do is put your bag through the security scanner, check-in, and you're good to go. Oh wait, a little more about the badge itself. With your Pfizer badge, you get free admission to all the museums in the city, as well as the zoo! If that's not enough, you even get a 10% discount at Aroma next door. Small things, but it's still pretty cool.
As far as the amenities of the building itself, there are a couple goodies here. There is the company store on the 1st floor, where you can get all the Pfizer-made goodies for 50% off. On the 2nd floor, you'll find the cafeteria. If you're looking for cheap, pretty decent food, and not have to go out around Midtown East to search for something, then the Pfizer Cafe is your best bet. What makes this cafeteria even better is that if you come during its Happy Hour, then you get an additional 10% discount. I literally got a sandwich and a bag of chips here for like $3.50. You can't beat that price anywhere. If you're looking to work out, then Pfizer has its own gym downstairs. Need to grab some cash? Well, there are tons of Chase ATMs in the building, so no fee.....as long as you have Chase.
Sweet building, great people, and overall satisfaction. Definitely enjoyed my time working here, as well as using all the things that this building has to offer.
