Took my daughter to the emergency room , she was having a nervous breakdown, she is so sick....a nurse in the reception area treated us so bad and was yelling at us and I yell back at him .He didn't care and had no empathy. No compassion at all. This nurse called security and I was asked to leave my daughter there and he said that she will have to wait 45 minutes by herself before going back even though she was going through a full panic attact .I couldn't go in with her because of covid restrictions and I understand that but at least let me explained what is happening to her or her family history so that she can get the help that she needs. She was treated like a drug addict even though they didn't run any lab work. She was released with paper work information to go to an out patient drug facility . Later that evening we had to go to a different emergency room where she had to be transferred to a behavioral unit to get proper treatment .at first I took her to utah valley because is supposed to be a great facility for mental illness , It might be but the emergency room should know how to treat mental illness. As a mother I felt so helpless.
