This is a venerable Hall in the classical music scene of the United States. Having said that it is definitely of a staid Victorian era in the mid-nineteenth century where columns and statues where are the signals of elegance and class. It's the kind of place your great-uncle from Peoria or Springfield would love but it does not have a cutting edge feel about it in any way. Good predictable deep high-quality performances. I can't ask for more than that, and the magic definitely happens on stage not in the space itself.
