My grandma was at this facility for over 2 weeks after suffering a broken femur. This review is just on things that took place when I was there visiting and from what she had told me. Many times she would push her call button and nobody would show. At one point she had to call family at home and ask them to call the nurse's station for her because nobody would come to her room. When she initially started her I.V. the nurse did not know how to even set it up and had to have somebody come in to show her. Then several times daily the I.V. machine would shreak and beep because there was an error. Not only did nobody know how to fix it and they had to wait for another nurse, and another, and another to finally come in. Only to have it start beeping again minutes later. One time I was there we pushed the button, nobody showed so I went to the hall to wave down a nurse and she rolled her eyes she had to come in to fix it. They took her out of her bed and put here into her wheel chair for PT, and even though she has limited strenghth, mobility and still in pain from her surgery left her sitting in her wheelchair alone in her room for hours. Her first week there her room was cleaned and all her get well cards were thrown away. On two of our visits there were dirty gloves laying both on her bed and floor as well as bandage wrappers and syringe lids. It's embarassing how they treat our elderly and clearly they have no shame if this is how it's happening in front of the public also. They then released my grandma, who tried to appeal and lost. She returned home and her nurse sent her back to the hospital because she should not have been home.
